Specialized structures for adhesion, movement, interaction with water, and for sensing and production of optical, thermal, vibrational and chemical signals, are what enable a phantom midge pupa hover, perfectly balanced, in mid-water, and further drive it to transform into an adult.

機能結構 includes four tracks which were originally recorded for the purpose of being the raw materials in my work of building a formless but big dumb object. Therefore, they are not narrative or descriptive but structural, in the service of different functions. How large it can be? Maybe as large as the phantom midge.

I noted in a 3-track ‘spanse being reminded of Four Tet (albeit beatless), Trepaningritualen (plus harmonica), and Acid Mothers Temple (sans guitar). The Sonologyst is a curatorial genius.
